How has taking this course and/or completing this project prepared me for my career and/or life?
I believe that the information that has been presented to me during throughout this class has been very enlightening on how many aspects of business can benefit from the analytical flexibility that the tools of this medium provide.
Upon first entering the class I knew of some of the fundamentals of geospatial technology, but not the breadth and width of the capabilities of the technology, nor how the imagery of remote sensing could benefit so many industries.
I have felt that I have had several careers and have taken something away to adjust my thought processes as I have with my education. In perusing the items of this course, I have seen how my forays into technology, implementation, the medical industry, and general interpersonal management all have bearing on how we see and utilize information.
I believe that the overarching aspect of GIS will help me in seeing a bigger picture and how to layer it all together to be able to get more value from the analysis that I use in my day to day life, and how better to explain to others how each aspect of Business technology and relations that we enter into tie together and flow as part of a larger whole.
